Overview: Training for safe forklift operation, load handling, pedestrian interface, stacking, ramps, parking and warehouse/site traffic control. Training/assessment delivery is aligned with TVTC approval and SASO HERC requirements where the course falls within the approved scope.

Who Should Attend: Forklift operators, warehouse staff, logistics teams, material handlers, storekeepers and site support personnel.

Prerequisites: Employer authorization, medical fitness, PPE, site traffic induction and access to the relevant forklift type and loads for practical assessment.

Learning Outcomes:

• Conduct pre-use forklift checks and identify unsafe conditions.
• Handle, stack, travel and park loads safely.
• Understand load capacity, load centre, stability triangle and attachment limitations.
• Apply safe driving rules around pedestrians, ramps, blind corners and confined areas.

Practical Assessment:

• Pre-use inspection and functional check.
• Travel, steer, reverse, stack/de-stack, pick/place and park safely.
• Demonstrate seatbelt use, horn/mirror use, speed control and pedestrian awareness.

Limitations: Does not authorize operation of forklift types/attachments not assessed or operation with defective equipment, unsafe loads or missing employer authorization.
