Ultrasonic Testing (UT) uses high-frequency sound waves to detect internal flaws and measure thickness non-destructively. Tove Leeds applies pulse-echo and through-transmission modes for welds, pipelines, vessels, boilers, aerospace parts across oil & gas, power, manufacturing.

Process: surface prep with couplant, straight beam (0°) for lamination/thickness, angle beam (45°/60°/70°) for cracks. Echoes show defect type, size, location via amplitude/time-of-flight.

Advantages: sensitive to planar defects, deep penetration, no radiation, portable. PAUT/TOFD for advanced imaging. ASNT-certified techs calibrate per ASTM E428, ensure code-compliant reports for safety.
